Britt-Inger works primarily with quilting, but explores various techniques within print and embroidery. Her expression has developed over the years, but the inspiration has primarily been drawn from nature, the northern lights and wildlife in the north. She finds joy in the process, and in making something from nothing. Her material choices are highly sustainable, primarily repurposing interior fabrics to make her pieces. Bit by bit, she puts together fabric of different colours to create a picture. It is the colours and texture of the fabrics that create exciting results, and this makes her work completely unique.
Britt-Inger is self-taught in textile art. She received her first sewing machine as a graduation present and has been developing her sewing skills ever since. Britt-Inger has sold artwork and interior products to both private customers and public clients. She previously ran an art gallery in Kirkenes, where she sold art, organised exhibitions and hosted events. She has taken part in local exhibitions, sold work at regional fairs and has shown work in various interior stores. At the moment, she works from her studio in her private residence, which is also open for customer visits.
